Pizza Samosa

In India whenever we talk about snacks, the first and only thing that came into the mind is “Samosa”.Samosa is street food, basically, a pastry either fried or baked, stuffed with a different type of fillings such as potato mixture, peas, onion, and many more things.

Today we are combining the flavors of pizza and samosa together which turned out the best combination ever, creamy and cheesy inside, crispy and savory outside.

INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING SAMOSA SHEETS:-

  • All-purpose flour (3 cups)
  • Salt (1 tbsp)
  • Oil (6 tbsp)
  • Water (as needed)

INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING PIZZA SAMOSA:-

  • Oil (3 tbsp)
  • Onions (1 cup)
  • Green chillies (2 tbsp)
  • Tomatoes (1 cup)
  • Capsicum (1 cup)
  • French beans (1 cup)
  • Salt (1 tbsp)
  • Red chilli powder (1/2 tbsp)
  • Oregano (1 tbsp)
  • Cottage cheese (½ cup)
  • Tomato ketchup (4 tbsp)
  • White sauce (4 tbsp)
  • Processed cheese (2 cups)

METHOD FOR MAKING SAMOSA SHEETS:-

  • In a mixing bowl take 3 cups of all-purpose flour, add 1 tbsp salt and mix well,
  • Add 6 tbsp oil and start combining well,
  • When the flour starts holding shape while binding then, it’s the perfect texture,
  • Add water gradually and knead a semi-hard dough,
  • Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

METHOD FOR MAKING PIZZA STUFFING:-

  • In a pan take about 3 tbsp of oil and let it heat,
  • Add 1 cup chopped onions, about 2 tbsp chopped green chillies, and saute well till they become slightly brown,
  • Add 1 cup chopped tomatoes, 1 cup chopped capsicum, 1 cup chopped french beans, 1 tbsp salt, ½ tbsp red chilli powder, 1 tbsp oregano, and mix well,
  • Saute well till the vegetables become soft,
  • Switch off the flame,
  • Add ½ cup cottage cheese and mix well,
  • Keep this stuffing aside.

METHOD FOR MAKING PIZZA SAMOSA:-

  • Knead the dough again to make it smooth and take out some portion,
  • Make a small ball from it and roll it slightly thick,
  • Cut the sheet into two equal halves,
  • Take one half and fold a corner,
  • Apply flour paste over it and stick the other corner over it,
  • Stuff the prepared pizza stuffing by adding some tomato ketchup, white sauce and processed cheese,
  • Stick the opened portion together by applying the flour paste,
  • Deep fry on medium-low flame till they become golden and crisp,
  • And it’s done, Pizza samosa are ready to serve.

NOTES:-

  • Remove the center part or seeds of tomatoes, you just have to use the walls.
  • Make a flour paste by adding some water to 1 tbsp all-purpose flour to stick the samosa.
